July 24-30, 2019 Iron Man Outreach

With the help of mission teams, we have been able to impact this athletic event for the kingdom of God.  2,800 athletes and their families, 3,000+ volunteers and many other people converge on our village of 2,500 people, expanding our population to over 15,000 people that weekend.   We do this outreach through our church, with three core values to Love People, Love God and Love Sports.

VOLUNTEER FOR THE RACE. The mission teams volunteer during the race.  Before and after the race our teams assist the race director with registration and special projects.

PRAYER BOOTH AT EXPO. We rent a space at the Athletes Expo for three days prior to the race.  This provides an opportunity to love on athletes and their families and offer a prayer booth.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST.  Saturday morning, the day before the race, we offer a free breakfast.   This last year we served over 1,500 plates.

IRONPRAYER.  Friday evening we hold a prayer service at the church.  The event includes worship, testimonies of endurance athletes, a gospel presentation and prayer for all the racers attending.
