BCNY Scholarship Policy

Policy
The purpose of the scholarships provided through the Baptist Convention of New York is to provide financial assistance and encouragement to individuals from churches affiliated with the Baptist Convention of New York to further their education beyond high school. The applicant must be a member in good standing of a Baptist Church in the Baptist Convention of New York.

The R. Quinn Pugh Educational Scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance and encouragement to Christian individuals from churches affiliated with the Baptist Convention of New York to further their education beyond high school.

The Mary Crowley Memorial Scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance and encouragement to Christian individuals from churches affiliated with the Baptist Convention of New York to further their education beyond high school.

  • First Priority: Students preparing for full-time Christian service as ministerial students, missionary candidates and other church related vocations in music, education or youth.
  • Second Priority: When fund as are available, applications will be considered from students not entering full-time Christian vocations.

The David and Mary Crowley Scholarship shall be given to persons from Baptist Convention of New York churches seeking education through the Southern Baptist Convention schools associated with the Cooperative Program.

**Recipients are allowed to receive scholarship a maximum of four years during their education career.
