North American Mission Board Mission Education

The purpose of Mission Education is. . .

  • To help Churches call out and equip workers for the harvest.
  • To help Christians discover how they are created to “fit” in God’s mission.

Why is it important?

  • When churches discover their Acts 1:8 purpose, they become “on mission” churches actively sharing Christ in their community, state, nation, and world.
  • When Christians discover their “fit,” they become “on mission” Christians actively sharing Christ with others.

The Biblical Principles of Mission Education is represented by four words:
Awaken , Adjust, Activate, Advocate

To encourage the spiritual transformation of “regular” Christians into “on mission” Christians and “regular” churches into “on mission” churches, using Mission Education organizations, resources, strategies and events designed to awaken Christians and churches to personal involvement in the Great Commission, help them to make adjustments that allow them to actively join God on mission, and grow to be passionate advocates for worldwide mission causes.

NAMB offers the following missions education organizations:

  • Royal Ambassadors for boys in grades 1-6
  • Challengers for youth in grades 7-12
  • Baptist Men On Mission
