Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy is an expression of ministry that places chaplains inside various settings, which include healthcare agencies, corporations, prisons, public safety agencies, and the military services. The Baptist Convention of New York Missions Division can assist you in obtaining endorsement to serve as a chaplain through the Southern Baptist Convention Chaplains Commission. Endorsement is a professional credential that affirms to an employer that a chaplain has met the basic requirements of the denomination to provide ministry in a specialized setting, and that the individual is a member in good standing of the Southern Baptist Convention.

To request information for endorsement through the Southern Baptist Convention contact the State Director of Missions by phone (1-800-552-0004) or email.
